So watching the BSG prequil "Caprica" many people have compared it to Fritz Langs " Metropolis" , But I see alot of Omac in it. A hedonistic society in the final stages of driving right off a cliff....

The psych rooms are kinda cool, and vaguely resemble methods that at some point are/were used as therapy.

What year is this from, do you know? It's mildly piqued my interest, but somehow I can't quite tell if this is 60's or 70's.

OMAC #1 is cover-dated October but appeared on the stands in June of 1974. An awesome site where you can look up this sort of info for any and every DC comic is here:

http://www.dcindexes.com/database/index.php

One thing I particularly love on this site is seeing at a glance what DC titles would have been on the stands at the same time, for instance this page showing other titles you'd have seen next to the first issue of OMAC:

Kind of strange to look at that page and realize that less than half of the books are superhero titles. How times have changed!

That title page with the disassembled girl-bot is both horrifying and a turn on. Her mouth is right between her spread legs, FFS.

You have to know that at least one guy who bought the Lila model tried to assemble her that way.

The Destruct Room looks like old fashion fun, and by old fashion, I mean stone age fun.

I was only slightly disappointed that the Destruct Room didn't work like Futurama's Suicide Booths. "No wait, don't go in there, try the Crying Room first! Jaye Davidson is dressed like Ra today!"
