Leaked footage of new Thundercats cartoon
After the disappointment of the new Voltron cartoon (Seriously... could they make it ANY more dull or clichéd, and the animation looks like it's escaped from 1993) this gives me a little hope for the new Thundercats.
And jump to 4:00 for the BEST "Context is for the weak" moment I've seen in a LONG time...
Looking at her eye design, Cheetara looks like she's escaped from an episode of Jem!
Wily-Kit and Wily-Kat are less annoying than I was expecting... so far. I'll be interested to see how they continue that arc.
In looking for legality scans to go with this, I found two of the most stylistically mismatched covers I think I've ever come across... The DC/Image crossover which I assume was in two parts
First up the collectors variant cover of Bop/Thundercats by Alex Ross, where Lion-O seems to be channelling his inner KISS fan more than usual

And this is the other half, which may include the sleaziest Lion-O I've ever seen (and that's not a word I'd ever have thought to use to describe him) by J Scott Campbell.

But Cartoon Network has to do a lot of good things before I forgive them for pulling the last few episodes of BATB from their lineup and other such transgressions.

Looks very cool and I have nothing to compare it to. I'm always falling for that type of story.

Isn't it enough that the episodes are sooooo much better than the pilot (That actually isn't sarcasm. To me they really are.)
Hey, but they have the Young Justice DVD coming out on 7/19 (preorders being taken now kids!) to maximize on the DVD sales!

The Dick/Bruce scene in Downtime has to be my favourite bit of bonding in the whole show :) I think the pilot was great, but it's the actual character development in a cartoon we see which makes it more awesome as it goes on.
(btw the tenth is, bizarrely, available on itunes I think)

Yup, on iTunes, so we can shell out $2.99 more
(My apologies to anyone I've ever growled at for showing what I thought was leaked or pirated items in their entirety not realizing what could be seen on iTunes - glimpses are okay. It's a sore spot around here when my husband has had copyrighted material used without compensation. Yes, we are talking to you, a certain reality show that rhymes with 'Mersey Whore')

(Maybe I just have bad taste in cartoons though? Lol)
But that's interesting. They play BF5 and the Thundercats trailer at night where you are? I only see the former in the morning and the latter in the afternoon, and maybe (kinda rarely) in the early evening.
And agreed. Actually, I think they've goofed a lot lately (so many live action shows lately, less cartoons, especially good ones).

(And no, I really didn't watch kid's TV in the 60's and 70's unless I was at a friend's... too busy being a barn rat)

I grew up with a family member who always had cartoons, anime and comics around, and even now, my grandma will watch cartoons and anime with me and will hang when I want to go to the comic store, and I have my cousins that are just a bit younger than I am who keep up with some cartoons.
I am used to knowing for sure when I won't like some stuff, but BF5 (and Storm Hawks) managed to impress me a lot (strong female characters, diverse cast in personality, appearance, racially and ethnically, getting creative with worlds and stuff).
