After the disappointment of the new Voltron cartoon (Seriously... could they make it ANY more dull or clichéd, and the animation looks like it's escaped from 1993) this gives me a little hope for the new Thundercats.
And jump to 4:00 for the BEST "Context is for the weak" moment I've seen in a LONG time...
Looking at her eye design, Cheetara looks like she's escaped from an episode of Jem!
Wily-Kit and Wily-Kat are less annoying than I was expecting... so far. I'll be interested to see how they continue that arc.
In looking for legality scans to go with this, I found two of the most stylistically mismatched covers I think I've ever come across... The DC/Image crossover which I assume was in two parts
First up the collectors variant cover of Bop/Thundercats by Alex Ross, where Lion-O seems to be channelling his inner KISS fan more than usual

And this is the other half, which may include the sleaziest Lion-O I've ever seen (and that's not a word I'd ever have thought to use to describe him) by J Scott Campbell.

Date: 2011-07-05 03:49 am (UTC)I grew up with a family member who always had cartoons, anime and comics around, and even now, my grandma will watch cartoons and anime with me and will hang when I want to go to the comic store, and I have my cousins that are just a bit younger than I am who keep up with some cartoons.
I am used to knowing for sure when I won't like some stuff, but BF5 (and Storm Hawks) managed to impress me a lot (strong female characters, diverse cast in personality, appearance, racially and ethnically, getting creative with worlds and stuff).
