The Last Page Of Fury Of Firestorm The Nuclear Men
Fury Of Firestorm The Nuclear Men #1 has two distinctions.
1. It has the longest title of the reboot.
2. The last page is arguably dumber than the last page of Batman: The Dark Knight.
One page under the cut.

Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; also, Voodoo #1 was surprisingly good. It definitely did "sexy" better than either Catwoman #1 or Red Hood and the Outlaws #1 . . . not that that would be hard in the latter case.

No, it's still stupid. Fury is a dumb name (though not as dumb as One Face), his design is so EXTREEEEEME it hurts (do his lips need to be pulled back like that? Really? Although he could be improved with Kirby Dots), and his introductory line is painful.
Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; sweetcheeks? Really?

also yeah...i really thought Voodoo was going tobe a surprise... mainly because yes it was going for sexy, but i also felt very meta. it felt... more... artful i guess. like it was sexy, but there was a point to it... if that at all makes sense (and i know it probably won't i;m fighting a cold here...)

Its okay, Its OK, Firestorm...just lie back and think of Mom and the Flag......
OK, we're clear, and.................

Yes, Fury is clearly not the brightest proton in the nucleus, but with showing only one page taken out of context, I think you're missing out showing that that's sort of the point. He's the insanely dangerous combination of the two Firestorms (and given his personality, ) He's what they'll both want to avoid becoming, but until they know about their nature, he's going to be a threat within them.

This doesn't shock me, the writer also handles the surprisingly-tasteful Witchblade.

But they should totally fight one.

All in all, the whole thing came off as haphazard and rushed. I doubt I'll be getting #2.

And Ronnie is now uninteresting & shallow, and Jason is self-important and insufferable. I don't think likable characters always have to be the center of a story.
But in THIS kind of story? Uh, yeah, if you want me to read #2. And won't.

I hate that they got rid of the "two minds, one body, one person as the driver, the other the brains" concept.
I hate how they deaged the characters.
I hate how stereotypical the villains were, to the extent that the only bad thing they didn't do was drown a litter of puppies.
I hated the stupid hulked-out...whatever that was.
In short, things better get fucking better.

Hey, can't use up all your characterization in the first issue.

It seems so impatient that it's completely impossible to follow. And motivation? What's that?
I'm very surprised this is Simone. Really.
