"If anyone wants to check out comics, wants to check out DC Universe Rebirth #1 and doesn’t like it, they can mail it to Warner Bros., to me, and I will send them a check, I literally will, for both postage and for the book. I will buy all these books back because I believe in this issue a lot. I think it’ll do very well. I hope it does well. But I seriously will, I’ll buy back this book." - Geoff Johns
"We're exploring a very big theme in that book. That theme is the power of optimism and the power of hope and how no matter what you do it will shine through if you try and help it shine through." - Geoff Johns

"That’s what it’s all about. Basically they’re both good guys, the New Gods are looking at the Universe from the top down, and the Green Lanterns are looking from the bottom up as the cop on the beat. Who’s right and who’s wrong? They both think they’re right from their own perspective." - Robert Venditti

If there is one undeniable fact of life in the DC Universe, it is this: The Guadians of the Universe are a bunch of assholes. Not to mention arrogant, self-imporant, and, as shown in recent issues, psychotically insane. Of course, I don't need to tell you any of this; but in this weeks Green Lantern Annual #1, they've really stooped to a new low.

Fury Of Firestorm The Nuclear Men #1 has two distinctions.
1. It has the longest title of the reboot.
2. The last page is arguably dumber than the last page of Batman: The Dark Knight.
One page under the cut.
( The rest of the issue was kind of bland. Mediocre, really. )
Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; also, Voodoo #1 was surprisingly good. It definitely did "sexy" better than either Catwoman #1 or Red Hood and the Outlaws #1 . . . not that that would be hard in the latter case.
