FF 22 - A Son With Two Fathers

In the last issue of Fantastic Four, Reed and family seized the Wizard from A.I.M.'s new nation-state, and brought him into custody. Bentley 23, the clone of the Wizard, apparently wanted to see him. He approached him with a box containing his helmet, stating that the children of the Foundation thought it best for him to have a personal identifier. He's quite mad, you see.

The Wizard told Bentley to put it on himself.

I contend that most great declarations of intent/purpose/identity ends with a swift kick to the other's nuts.

Also: D'aaaaaaa--wait. How old is Bentley again?

Super-intelligent artificially aged clone, so who knows what to measure by?

Likely older than Valeria but younger than Franklin. Possibly younger chronologically than Valeria.

The only thing I could focus on in this was that the proportions are terrible.

Not really. The adult characters all feel fairly solid and consistent. The only ones that strike me as slightly odd are Val and Bentley, and given the way I've seen my youngest cousin develop, it's not unusual that someone Val's age might have a slightly larger head.

Slightly larger yes, but the head to neck ratio on her is rather distracting.

I baby sit my 3 (soon to be 4!)year nephew every week and read him comics... the proportions are actually pretty accurate, based on the artist's style.

Oh no. Now a cross-over with F4 and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas just came into my head--with Reed as Raoul Duke and Thing as Doctor Gonzo.

The first page really reminds me of the AKIRA manga. The kids eyes are way too big though.

Wow. I thought Wizard was just pathologically obsessed with puzzles and scheming, like the Riddler. Didn't realize megalomania and just general mania was also his schtick. (I guess it is for most of Marvel's Evil Geniuses.)

He was formerly just in it for fame, money, and recognition (and at times just money). Then he went crazy, near the very beginning of Hickman's run.

Somehow he was able to pause being crazy to work with the Intelligencia for Fall of/World War Hulks and the follow-up issues of She-Hulk, but that's apparently another matter. *shrug*
