What happened to Parallax?

As you may remember, Hal Jordan freed and rejoined with Parallax during Blackest Night in order to help defeat the Black Lantern Spectre. The two were separated again, but Parallax vanished without explanation... until now.



You'll note that this plan by the hooded villain does not include capturing the Black Hand or the Entity.

Violet.

Yeah, yeah, they almost never color it close to violet (instead using purple-pink colors), but violet is an actual wavelength of its own as opposed to purple, which is red and blue wavelengths seen together.

It's also not helped, of course, by the fact that sapphires are very rarely associated with the colour violet in the first place. They're certainly not unknown, but it's a safe bet that no one ever described something as being "sapphire violet"
