Who is this mysterious figure? who are those people on the wall? Events that have happened, or will happen?

I see Hector Hammond, I think that might be Hank Henshaw before he became the Cyborg Superman. Is that the Entropy Aegis armor from Our Worlds at War?

Someone who had created the Oath of the GL's? is this the guy who had taken Parallax?
For those who don't rememeber, what happened on planet Ryut?
What other garbage lies within the Guardian's dark history that Ganthet hasn't spilled the beans.

If I had to guess, the "new" character is Appa Ali Apsa, who was already a way to make the Guardians look bad.

To be fair, Johns is certainly not the first one to paint the Guardians as corrupt scumfucks. Hell, they've had that air about them for decades now, from what I've seen.

When Kyle recreated them as (male and female) children there was hope, but then along comes Hal Jordan and the whole corrupt status quo is back in place before you can say "In Brightest Day"

To be fair, the Guardians have been looking bad for a *long* while now, way before Johns showed up.

Well, they say it's the Forbidden Sector/Sector 666, so I'd assume it was one of the planets that was wiped out by the Manhunters.

It was Atrocitus' home world until the Manhunters' massacre. More recently, it was home to the Black Lantern Central Battery.

It might or might not be this guy, who Johns has been setting up as the next big bad guy and has been behind the "upgrades" to the Shark, Hector Hammond, and Black Hand. No idea how old he's supposed to be, but he's a former hero himself, and maybe Johns is once again being... loose with continuity, as he was with Black Hand.

And I am going to make a wild guest and think it maybe the orginal Monitor from CoIE. After all, if Anti-M was power for BLs, then the Pro-M would be the guardian to life, after all, he is the only character that I can think of who existed before the Guaridans were (kinda in a weird time line loop-logic way.)

That icon. Man, I thought that image was the most awesome thing ever when I discovered it twelve years ago. Wow, flashback: I asked a kid at school to print it out for me on his color printer, since I only had B&W at home. Oh, li'l Hal Jordan obsessive teenage me.

I think it's the juxtaposition of geek and universal human aspirations, like flying and living your dreams.

Since the movie costume is supposed to be pure CGI, it might look more like this.

Yeah, I think you're onto something there. It just captured the magic and majesty of GL in a practical, non-superheroic way. And it was Hal too, not Kyle, which gave it even more cred and appeal to me at the time. Hopefully the movie will be able to capture a bit of that, in between the action and comedy and whatnot.

I'm hoping for a X-Files/Wizard of OZ crossover, ever since I heard they cast an Amanda Waller (considering that she wasn't in any of the origins tellings).
