Big fan of Miss Martian. I still with the theory that Geoff Johns created her because a) plans were already being made to kill off J'onn so DC needed a new "good" Martian and b) Countdown was starting at the same time and Johns knew what they were going to do to Mary Marvel so he also knew DC would need a new "nice/sweet" heroine. So she was basically a Mary Marvel replacement since TPTB at DC knew they were going to wreck that character (who maybe not coincidentally share the same initials). Of course later on in Teen Titans McKeever - also one of the Countdown writers - tried to make M'gnn go all dark and grim with an evil bad side as well but thankfully that plot line was dropped fast).

I'm still hoping for a Mary Marvel/Miss Martian team-up somewhere down the line. With Linda Danvers gone forever into limbo I can definitely see M'ggn and Mary being BFF's like Cassie/Kara or Cass/Steph. The 2 MM girls forever and all that!

Also, am I the only who pictures her with an Australian accent? Even since they introduced her as living in Australia as her home base I can't get that idea out of my head. I know the (probably) American sounding version of her we'll get in the YJ cartoon will shatter those illusions though.
