This feels like a more obvious move for Marvel, since they've got the Norse pantheon on tap, but I unironically and sincerely love Batman's fur lined snowsuit.

The most immediately interesting part of this is Marz and Lanning's tacking of relevancy onto this " comics for readers who yell ' COMICS! ' at anything in comics that's novel " thing.

Yeah, I don't even mind those big epic events, but it seems fun to have just kind of crazy big story which doesn't promise to change everything from time to time.

Leaving aside the usual griping about crossovers, it's very strange to have this coming so soon after Death Metal with a creative team that's comparatively much less prestigious. Say what you will about Snyder and Capullo's output, but there can be little question that they've been DC superstars for years now, these guys though? Andy Lanning and Ron Marz? I don't relish calling anyone a has-been, but neither of them has exactly been tearing it up within the past five years.

I know some people are looking at Future State as a bit of a filler event, but Endless Winter is the filler event leading up to the filler event, which is a pretty grim position to be in.
