Judging by their faces in the last scan, Superman, Batman and Robin take Christmas card making VERY seriously indeed!

Oh, that's terrific! What a sweet story and I really like that gal's coat and hat.

The Christmas cards are FANTASTIC! Superman's is adorable and I SO love that Batman's card has nothing to do with Christmas.

Hey, plus it's my icon, just without a heart! No wonder I love it!

Christmastown. Why do towns like that always seem to mostly be old behatted men?

Also, Superdickery points for rowing a bit and then leaving them to float. You may say, but he could only jump then. Well, then he sank the boat when he did. Either way, a gift is not a rescue.

Also, do I see the hand of Vince Coletta doing touch-ups and alterations here and there? Look at the blonde guy and you can really see it.

Me and at least one other person thought that there was some redrawing, since this is actually a reprint of an older story

They certainly did a lot of that, not just this or the Superman heads in JIMMY OLSEN, but I seem to recall one comic--Four-Star something or other--where they had a modern artist completely redraw a Golden Age Flash story because, as they say at the start of the story in an editor's note, the original "was not up to modern standards." Wow, that's cold. Granted, the art they ended up with was probably far superior to whatever the original looked like, judging by what I've seen of GA Flash stories, but still.

Supes's smile makes me imagine he's stripping off his Santa suit to give me my Christmas present. Heh.

I'm a little confused about what a flood and an ark have to do with Christmas. Kind of a mixed metaphor, no? Still, shame no one thought of that when Katrina hit.

Meantime, I'm impressed that Superman is able to make knitted stockings and recipe books out of kindling. (And, boy, that's the happiest reaction I've ever seen to knitted stockings.)

Cute story,in any case. :)

Oh thank you. That book was one of my Christmas presents that year. It's also sadly one of the books that was eaten by termites. It was my first exposure to Angel and the Ape and quite possibly my introduction to the Teen Titans. Good memories.
