The art on this has SO vastly improved.

Tim looks like a teenager in really good shape, and not a 29 year old.

Doesn't make alot of sense. Wouldn't seeign his best friend alive in his worst place make Tim just as emotional as he is in a "good place." Also, I was surprise he didn't mention his girlfriend is back too.

But I really like the Red Robin costume. I like the cowl, the colors, just about everything. My only complaint is that there is NO way that Tim would be able to reach those capsules on his back with anything resembling any kind of efficacy, and maybe that he looks too much like Dr. MidNite.

God, Conner is so cute and confused (he still doesn't grasp how his death affected everyone) and I love how even when Tim hugs him (and even if he doesn't entirely hug him back) he puts his hand around his back and is still supportive of him.

I need an animated icon of that hug!

I even love Krypto's little "Hurr?" as he looks up at Tim expectantly.

I love Tim and Kon together. See, even overlooking the slashy goodness (and it's very hard to do that, I'll say that), they give off a great vibe as two best friends who absolutely adore each other. It's a mature, respectful friendship between two people who like and love and are comfortable with each other, and it's just so "awwww..." worthy.

Now, back to the slashy goodness. The hug was adorable, and Conner putting his hand around Tim's arm in the next panel was cute as hell too.

I bought this issue because I liked the art and Tim's internal monologue in the preview, having done little to keep up with Batfamily goings-on... well, ever. And then I got to this part, which I hadn't known to hope for at all, and had to stop and wave my arms about like an idiot. I always thought the fanfiction exaggerated.

Guess I better bite the bullet and call myself a DC fanboy too.

I actually really liked this issue of Red Robin. I've been waiting for this Tim.

And there were no flashbacks! Less angsty!Tim. No more spider-girl supplot! Vastly improved.

Also, wow. Tim is looking really hot, but I feel really weird saying that. Especially since he's supposed to be 18.
