This is the same guy who wrote the Titans book and who had Billy Batson's last appearance in the DCU being the image of him holding a water hose on a villain while Freddy Freeman saved the day (and who went on record as saying that the Batson Twins were "tragic characters"). Yeah, so I pretty much predicted the cheese. Too bad its on such a great character as Mr. Terrific (and it seems they didn't retcon away his marriage so yay for that at least).

If "Karen Starr" is not going to be a Kryptonian Supergirl but just a rich foil/supporting player to another male superhero in the new DCU I would much prefer she not appear at all. Save her for Earth-2 and adventures with the Huntress when Robinson/Scott's JSA finally comes out.

Pretty much this. As I was going through these pages I didn't feel like I was reading about the same character I know and love at all. At best this felt like a weak attempt at keeping the character active.

Also, has it been confirmed that JSA will be returning in DCnU at all? Last I heard was that they were 'resting' the JSA. :/

I think it was confirmed at the last con that James Robinson/Nicola Scott will be doing a JSA book that takes place on Earth-2 (and not the "regular" DC Earth that the Mr. Terrific title takes place in). I would much rather Power Girl "star" there than be a civilian supporting character to a male hero.

Mr. Terrific thinks about not letting her to close, so she's not a superhero.

They still sell their old TPB's. All you have to do is read Infinite Crisis to see how she fell through the cracks. well she could easily fall through them again. Especially with a mystery all powerful all knowing character hanging around

Urgh. I almost considered picking this up, but I don't know now. The art just... Throws me for a major loop. Like a wormhole looped-loophole-loop. Or something utterly ridiculous.

But that last page... I just didn't see that as necessary at all. The racial comment really had no baring in that context. Although some of the comments here just made it more awkward for me actually. (Which I attribute to actual wording rather than intent, but still...)

Why did you all have such expectations with this book? Might I remind you it is from the SAME writer who did TITANS!?
