Keep in mind that she never ever needs any help bypassing the most complex security systems dirty money can buy.


Long story short, both Dinah and Helena were romanced and "dumped" by a guy named Braun, and Selina got gypped while working for Braun. All three go on a manhunt for him and when they finally tail him, he escapes with Dinah on board his flight. At this point Selina and Helena team up to locate both him and Dinah, and their only lead is a guy named Solomon Cadiz, the guy Braun was working through.

And of course they locate Braun and Dinah and do what they gotta do. Truthfully, I opine there needs to be more Huntress-Catwoman team-ups if they're always this epic and full of win.

I get Selina's motivation to get this guy--she would be relentless in getting her money in a way that would make Luke Cage proud--but Helena and Dinah are after him because he dumped them both?

And this is better than some of stuff going on now...how?

If he has Selina working for him he's hardly an innocent, and if he's kidnapped Dinah in the process, then he's asking for trouble from the other Birds.

It was more Braun toyed with their feelings and pretty much stopped calling. But yeah, that was pretty much the only thing that ticked them both off. Babs even commented on whether or not it was worth going through ALL this trouble for one guy and Dinah said "yes, it was."

I think Dixon just wanted to do a mini series with all three of these characters and couldn't think of a better way to get them all together.

Well, the guy actually has committed a few crimes, so it's not just a pride thing. But, yeah, that's part of the reason I never really cared for Dixon's Canary. And while Huntress is ostensibly going after the guy because he messed with her heart, I think a lot of her reasoning really has to do with teaming up with Dinah, so that works a bit better.

I loved Huntress' bemused face at being handed the beef jerky. See, this is what I miss about the 90's Catwoman. The wit and the humor.

I don't think we need a T+ comic to generate interest in Catwoman. Just bring this version back.

Agreed. Wit and humour is the one thing I miss about the 90s Catwoman title. Now they're just trying too hard to be hardcore and edgy. :/

They tended to be in the 90s, yes. It was--after all--the era in which colourists discovered shading and lighting in Photoshop. :P
