'I'm an enormous fan of Chris Claremont. I think his contribution to comics is just gigantic, that these days he's enormously undervalued, to a degree that just staggers me. I'll be drawing on the love of this character I felt from my childhood, and that means drawing on my own inner Claremont.'
- Paul Cornell

The boy purposely jumps off the edge. Wolverine leaps after him and uses his own body to cushion their fall, saving the boy.

Date: 2013-05-08 07:23 pm (UTC)Marcus Harold looks an awful lot like Harold H. Harold, the goofy nerd vampire from the old Tomb of Dracula book in the '70s.

Date: 2013-05-09 12:12 am (UTC)When I saw Marcus H. Harold, I definitely thought of the similarly named vampire, who died when Dr. Strange used the Montesi Formula, and who, I presume, might have come back when the Formula was reversed in something I didn't read. :)

Date: 2013-05-09 07:50 am (UTC)When Jason passed, Kurt Busiek decided to pay his respects by creating Dr. Jason Rivera of Project Pegasus in Avengers v3 #6, whose specialty was... you guessed it... maintaining catalogs of super-humans. He appeared again in Iron Man v3 Annual 1999, also written by Busiek. I believe this is only Dr. Rivera's third appearance in the Marvel Universe.

Date: 2013-05-09 04:15 am (UTC)Clearly, what this guy thinks Chris Claremont writes like is helping him (this sounds nothing like Chris Claremont's overloaded fustian and slightly creepy bloviation), but other writers... really... please don't channel any inner Chris Claremonts.

Date: 2013-05-09 10:57 pm (UTC)The problem is that Claremont is way more infamous these days for his kinks, and there's little to no sign of that.
