So if this follows the trend of Batman '66 and Wonder Woman 77' can we get Spider-Man '94?

I used to enjoy watching the 90s fox kids x-men. When fox still had that cartoon block and show reruns of the cartoon.

Didn't slott already claim to have killed the animated spidey. I thought he'd mentioned on twitter or something that he considered the Unlimited spidey he killed off the same as the animated spidey from S-TAS.

Disagree. Think relatively needless characters are dying with more longevity.

Where's Jean? She must be hanging out with Beast.

Beast wasn't in the regular line-up in the beginning, though.

Maybe the artist didn't want to draw Jean's horrendous pre-Phoenix outfit...

Man, 90s Cyclops is clearly the best look that character ever had.

The pointless pouch straps across his torso put me off it, but the loose hair certainly works better than the condom cowl look.

Did we ever once see him take something out of them? A communicator? A sandwich? Packet of condoms?

I think I he did a few times in the comics If I am remembering right and it wasn't something that happened very often.

In the cartoon nope they were just there.

Someone mentioned the idea of "Spider Man '77" based on the old Nicholas Hammond tv series. I think that could be neat, I also am hesitant to talk about it too loudly or Slott may decide to kill that one next.

Good theme tune though it had, I've never been able to warm to this series as much as others have (I much preferred X-Men Evolution)... I never cottoned on to Jubilee the way I did to Kitty (a generation gap thing I suspect) and it sort of descended into a lot of clumsily inserted character action figure promotion than anything else (The world needed a Killspree action figure? Really???).

(That and I will never quite forgive them for doing a Warlock story where A) We met his girlfriend (Technarchs aren't binary gendered as far as has ever been shown), and B) We didn't meet Doug)

IIRC also wasn't Warlock a Phalanx in that series instead of a technarch.

Yeah personally I didn't care for it as much as Evolution because it did at times devolve into a pretty shallow series. I mean there are some absolutely stand out episodes and then there's a lot of junk.

Personally with Jubilee I'm more annoyed with the series being largely responsible for the Jubilee is useless bit of fanon that keeps showing up in comics. I mean in her first comic appearances she was destroying robot dogs and in a later issue blew up a city block.

After the X-TAS took off she became the girl who throws useless fireworks.

In fairness, everyone at Marvel at that time seemed to decide to call the Technarchy (which sounds like the name of a Russian author) the Phalanx, because it sounded cooler.

That ep was also 3 years after the actual Phalanx had been introduced and probably started production around the time Gen X got introduced with the Phalanx as a major plot element. So it probably was more to tie into that.

ah yes the 90s. When the X-men were actually good and followed coherent story arcs.

Hmm, you're talking about the cartoon, right? Because that's really not an apt description of the 90s X-Men comics I've read.
