When we last left out heroes, J'onn's team in Space had lost Manga Khan, while Batman's team on Earth was trapped in Bialya...

At the JLI Embassy in New York, Captain Atom is upset. It's been two days since communication was cut off from Bialya. All that has been confirmed is that the Dictator, Colonel Harjavti, is dead, the result of a coup. There's been reports of an unidentified superbeing maintaining order for the new regime.
Captain Atom thinks Batman and the others are trapped and wants to go to the rescue, though Oberon insists Batman is never trapped.
As it happens, Batman, still in his disguise as Max Lord, has escaped his cell and is looking for Beetle and Booster.

It's Batman, of course.
Queen Bee, the new ruler, sends her people to retrieve Max. Batman, Beetle, & Booster hear gunshots on the floor above them.

Batman decides to take care of their pursuers. A nice action sequence later...

Batman reunites with the others, but they are immediately confronted by Wandjina, who blasts them, taking them all down at once. The JLI is helpless, and Wandjina is about to deliver the killing blow, when he finds himself on the receiving end of a blast...

And he does, in spectacular fashion.
After his teammates have recovered, Queen Bee arrives to discover her big gun has been pulped. As Batman announces this is the end of her little coup, the League discovers a problem... The people support her. They're forced to leave, but Batman promises this isn't over.
Meanwhile...

Barda hooks her wand in the JLI ship's warpdrive, as it has Boom Tube capacity. G'nort isn't confident, figuring if his power ring can't accomplish this, nothing they have on hand can. Nevertheless, G'nort and Barda have fed information into the ship's computers that narrows down where the Cluster ship could have gone to three possibilities.

To be continued...

It's eerie how little about Bats needs to change for him to convincingly portray somebody like Max Lord.
