Wasn't it Hydra venom that eventually killed him?

No it was being burned alive after his wife poisoned him with Hydra venom.

Centaur blood -- after said centaur had been shot by a hydra-poisoned arrow by Herc. With his dying breath, the centaur convinced Herc's wife at the time to save some of his blood and paint it on one of Herc's tunics in case "you fear he no longer loves you".

Well, self-immolation, but only so's he could burn away the mortal part of himself and ascend to Olympus.

This seems like it could be pretty interesting, so it's a little disappointing that this is just a spinoff title and almost certainly won't have much impact on the actual Civil War II series.

Basically it's just a continuation of Herc's current series.

But just like Sacred Invasion, we'll all know that Herc was the one that saved the world behind the scenes!!!

One can hope they show up partway and have a reasonable-sized role...

Now's probably not quite the right time, but how is it Herc or Thor has never teamed up with Moon Knight, as often as they encounter the Egyptian pantheon?

The crossovers I've seen between Thor and the Egyptian gods always seemed to cast them in antagonistic roles. As for the Greco-Roman gods, well, the occupation of Egypt was probably a sore spot.

As for Moon Knight specifically, he works on a rather different level against different sorts of opponents than Thor and Hercules.
