There have been a few "Here's some stuff about the Wayne Family History" over the years.

LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT #27 had flashbacks to Solomon Wayne and how he wanted Gotham City to look. The issue used the designs of Anton Furst, who helped design Gotham Ctiy for the 1989 movie.

BATMAN CHRONICLES #6 had a story by Denny O'Neal and Curt Swan about Gotham City's origins. One of the men in the story is an ancestor of Bruce's, but Tim and Alfred don't know which one.

Well, uh, if he means just "the ongoing title named Batman and nothing else"...

... he'd probably still be outclassed by Doug Moench, who - let us not forget - had two sustained runs on the main Bat-title.

My first thought was Grant Morrison. Didn't they write, like, a straight 7 years of Batman and then some?
