I was going to comment on this in a previous post but the whole Revanche evil AI plotline is one of the more ludicrous elements of the franchise, and I find it tiresome.

I mean resurrecting the great warriors of the past via cloning and the brainwave machine was pretty silly, but by the time Larry just went full speed ahead into evil robots (Revanche, and the improbable resurrections of the Oktober Guard among other things) it just feels like too much even for the established world.

(Also, there are no Transformers in MY G.I. Joe, thanks, please to be keeping them separate.)

Oh, and the current "zombie mutant virus" plotline? With Serpentor Khan? Um....

I always did like the Oktober Guard though.

The ninjas came early enough as to be acceptable, but like cilantro they’re a divisive ingredient and too much spoils the recipe.

Eh, GI Joe has always been on the verge of sci-fi tech. It's no worse than Cartoon Cobra having a new sci-fi terror weapon every other week.

I apparently have a sci-fi threshold when it comes to the original series, as opposed to later attempts to crossover properties, or to the cartoon. Space shuttles and lasers, yes. Aliens and fully sentient evil robots, not so much. Clones… right there on the edge of tolerable. Cobra-La never. :)
