Immortal Thor #8 - "The Final Judgment"

The God Who Could Be You? I think Thor is the most successful example so far of the “Hercules In New York” archetype, the mythological figure who has to balance the modern world and the world of myth, with one foot in both. If Hulk is where humanity connects with the monster inside, Thor—originally a human with a god inside them—is where humanity connects with myth. Thor is our guide to a world of wonders, and in turn we get to see our own world made wondrous through his eyes. In that way, he’s very much Hulk’s opposite number, which is what makes this a sequel of sorts. -- Al Ewing

And from even further on from there, the comparison between the Hulk and the FF that the penultimate issue of Immortal did.
... okay, overthinking a little, but not very seriously. Just idle musing.
Unusual that even in the flashbacks Utgard-Loki speaks so casually, compared to the more formal tones of Gaea.
(I'd swear the "Nrgl" might be a reference to Nergal, but if the other two are a ref to any gods, no idea?)

Well, Marvel did do those Warhammer comics a little while back...
(though I can't imagine how anyone would mistake Nergal the god of disease, and Nurgle the god of disease. Totes different!)
