Wendell Vaughn - having an origin tied to SHIELD before it was cool.

Given that at this point as far as anyone knew the original Marvel Boy's legacy was going insane, trying to murder bankers and then exploding, it's a little weird that anyone would want to style themselves after him in the first place.
"A'right, kid. You're the new Marvel Boy."
"Great! What do I do?"
"Fer starters, don't explode. You still owe us for the costume."

A touch hyperbolic, but the narration is right that Wendell did eclipse Bob.

I wonder sometimes if ' I am spelling out what the reader could reasonably infer from the art/story so far! ' thought bubbles, like more than half of the ones here, didn't train some readers out of picking up subtlety and nuance.

I thought Wendell Vaughn was going to show up on AGENTS OF SHIELD, given all the times they mentioned "Professor Vaughn."

There's still potential for Quasar in the MCU. We have the Quantum Bands in MARVELS.

Ah, Wendell. Truly, an incredibly humble and likable character.

I’ve always appreciated his unique approach to super battles, being primarily focused on trying to talk people down or using energy draining and containment bubbles rather than giant boxing gloves.
