This seems ... somewhat better than that Garth Ennis "red state dude killed by his own hypocrisy over abortion and AR-15s" story posted here a while back, in terms to "ironic horror comics whose essential politics I agree with but whose execution I find lacking."

But not by a whole lot.

I looked up this title in the Grand Comics Database (comics.org) and the only publisher is Oni Press, not EC Comics. I know the cover displays the old EC logo twice at the top, but I assume that's part of the (apparent) homage to the defunct publisher. (Its defunctness presumably being the reason Oni can get away with using the logo.)

Wouldn't bring this up except that, to paraphrase a certain senator, "Azzarello, I know EC Comics, and this is no EC comic. ":-p
