Mr. T: "You? TEAMS?"

Bats: "Now you take that -- sorry, I'd continue arguing but I just got a reminder from my second-youngest that it's time to go take my youngest to hockey practice."

Mr. T: "See? SEE? He can't FUNCTION with other people! No room for any kind of multi-personal relationships in THIS singular hermit's life!"

Bats: "You're still good to let Cass and Steph intern at the lab over the summer?"

Mr. T: "Oh, for sure. (You lone-wolf JERK.)"

Well, he hasn't exactly done it harmoniously, though! I think he stormed out of all those organizations at least once, including most recently his own family!

Led the JLI? Hah! No one led the JLI, they just hung onto it by their nails and prayed the ride would end before they hit a wall.

As mechanically competent, continuity-indexed-in-their-brain writers of superhero comics named Mark go, Waid at least produces work that someone who isn't an aspiring trivia contest winner could immediately enjoy.

Blasted teenagers, always so darn insecure they're changing their status quo all the time.
This week he's a cyborg. Next week, he'll be stuck in another dimension again.
Just pick a concept and stick to it.
(is being sarcastic because the alternative is talking about the comic proper. And that might get a bit rant-y.)

If Waller has - as claimed last issue - utterly shut off contact to time travel, other dimensions and planets, what's the worry about heroes 'attracting' invaders from such places? And does she seriously believe that superheroes in no way act as a deterrent to crime?

Given her... well, everything at this point, pretty sure WINO has gone completely insane, and so nothing she says in regards to motivation or belief is true.
She's just spewing out gibberish at this point.

that idea is soooo stupid

Imagine the Legion of Superheroes time traveling in and Brainiac 5 just telling her off by pointing out that the people in the future have the ability to act as well. That as soon as they noticed that time period was blocked off he put everything he had into breaking the barrier down

Waller - "I have tech that shuts off all time trav..."
Brainiac Five - "Oh, hello. Just popping in here to point out that we're from the future. That tech? It's in our museums, easily available to be studied and countered. But do go on, don't mind me."

To be fair, if her Amazos are so effective on superheroes then they’d be just as effective against villains and crooks. And do the heroes know she’s shut off access to time travel/alternate dimensions/other planets?

I think we the readers only learned that she'd closed off the Earth in such a way when Green Arrow explained it to the rest of the heroes.

If her Amazos are effective against supervillains, why not just de-power them first, and move on to the heroes afterwards, rather than causing an imbalance of forces weighted against her?

This is what bugged me about The Falcon & Captain America or whatever it was too. You had Baron Zemo, whose new motive is that he hates metahumans (but specifically the Captain America brand, for some reason), but no one ever says to him "Hey, what about all the times the Earth was almost destroyed by aliens? Or that bad actors had superpowers and tried to use them for mass casualty events? In your ideal world, where there are no superheroes, what's going to stop Thanos from killing as much of the population as he likes?"

In fact, if Zemo is out to stop more people from getting superpowers, he's kinda in agreement with Tony Stark and Scott Lang and Bruce Banner, who try to stop their specific things from being mass-produced and potentially falling into the wrong hands, so what are they even fighting about?

Anyway, it's an eight hour miniseries and they never took five minutes to address something that you'd think would rock Zemo's entire worldview, but same deal. What's Waller's plan to deal with the countless supervillains who have already been "attracted" by the superhero community? If she's going to capture or kill all of them (good luck), shouldn't she do that *before* she gets rid of Superman?

Well, they had it easy. Since they never showed what the universe's status quo was like outside of a brief prologue, you didn't have to ask "What about the Joker or Galactus? How will conventional police deal with them?" As far as we know, the only thing the capes had to deal with was modest threats like Bomb Voyage.

Exactly. It's not clear that the Incredi-verse even has evil superhumans. Syndrome, Bomb Voyage, the Underminer, Screenslaver... every one just a person with gadgets, and so presumably capable of being stopped by conventional forces with proper equipment.

If memory serves, one of the DVD special features contains files on a super called Gamma Jack who saw supers as inherently better than normal humans. But he was still a hero, basically a Magneto who was on the side of the angels. That's the closest thing to an evil super as far as I recall.

So really, the Incredi-verse is miraculously lucky to have successive generations of super-humans who choose, time and time again, never to commit crimes.

...it really IS a Randian paradise!

In Zemo's defense, I took his actions as being against superhuman soldiers/weapons.

You can't make another Thor, for example, and creating another Hulk (at the time) was dicey at best.

But super soldiers are easy to mass produce, relatively speaking. And when you upgrade every soldier, you upgrade war itself. Hence, allowing them to live would allow for an escalation.

Failsafe and Sleeper exchanging a look over Waller declaring she's a not sociopath is hilarious. Even the robot knows you're kidding yourself, Amanda.

I am getting slightly irritated at having to constantly mention and remention the four page limit for new comics.

This is over five pages. Trim it now please.
