I really hope that tombstone doesn't crossed the line of killing his kids just to keep his power. It's nicer characterization to have morality in villains and not have them be all out evil.
...why does Janice look like she's had one too many face lifts? And seriously, Pete? You convinced his daughter to turn on him? That's messed up. Why are you putting her in danger like that? You know damn well Tombstone won't stay in jail for long.
Sorry, you're wondering why Peter Parker convinced a person to do the right thing and testify against their *criminal and murderer* of a father? Especially since, as the book itself points out, Lonnie *already* betrayed her?
Lonnie betrayed her because he knew she couldn't handle being the boss of a massive crime network. And that, frankly, he didn't like the idea of her being a criminal anyway.
And Peter didn't convince her to do the right thing. He convinced her to get back at him through testifying. This is about revenge, not justice. And judging from how eager Parker was to see Lonnie's expression, it was about revenge for him too.
I don't think Peter cares about her motivations for testifying, just the fact that she's testifying. He's about doing the right thing, not "oh wait I need to have the proper *motivations* before I do the right thing."
Sure, he's also doing it because Tombstone hurt him a *lot*. But, you know what, fuck it, Tombstone deserves to do to jail.
"Peter knows he'll just get out." So he should do nothing? He should just let a criminal and murderer go free when he has the power to put him, however temporarily, behind bars?
What do *I* think? Or what does *Peter* think? Because those are two different things.
Plus, again, Peter is all about doing the right thing, damn the consequences. So why wouldn't he recommend someone testify against their criminal murderer father, despite the danger? He would. It's totally in character.
