Um... I don’t think anyone was expecting this, but following the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel getting involved in the Batman Day celebrations, it’s now been announced in the latest Sonic Central newscast that Sonic the Hedgehog will be officially crossing over with DC Comics.
If you can’t watch the clip above, here’s the general rundown:
• Sonic comics scribe Ian Flynn will be helming the project and kicking the collaboration off with a 5-issue comic miniseries in March 2025
• Beyond the comic, the collaboration will also involve merchandise such as toys, apparel and collectibles, beginning in Autumn 2025 and extending into 2026.
• No plot details were revealed and the artist is presently unknown, but they did show off some more mashup designs, featuring Shadow as Batman, Knuckles as Superman, Amy as Wonder Woman, Sonic as the Flash, Silver as Green Lantern and Tails as Cyborg.
