This issue... Machine Man VS AMERICA!
Script and art by the legendary Jack Kirby.

After saving the world from invasion last issue (let's not talk about HOW), Aaron is up before a senatorial committee to decide his fate. We're introduced to Senator Brickman (no relation), who isn't exactly wanting to give Machine Man the benefit of the doubt.

Brickman attempts to recruit General Kragg, the military commander who was pursuing Aaron in previous issues into his schemes, and we find out a little of his history, but it seems he's starting to have doubts over his mission.

Meanwhile Aaron's been allowed to stay with Peter Spalding while the inquiry continues, having had a lot of his abilities deactivated.

Elsewhere...

Corrupt politicians witch hunting for their own ends. Scientific advances being exploited.
Thank goodness times have changed, huh?
