I've seen people remark that they want more dialogue and narration in their comics to better put across characterization, citing Claremont as a " good " example of that.
I'd like to hope that they're not asking for things like Sebastian Shaw spending half a page explaining how being forcibly ensconced in rock is a threat to him.
I can forgive that one on this one occasion, since it's Selene's big entrance to the Hellfire Club, and it's her first meeting with Shaw.
Given how his powers have always been shown to be able to deal with any physical attack before, it's worth emphasising that Selene has powers which CAN stop him.
You have a point though, as this is NOT going to be the ONLY time Claremont explains what she does and why it's a threat to Shaw.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
