Seasons Greetings 2024

scans_dailySo, some connectivity issues where I am right now means that I'm posting this within a whisper of it being too late for the UK to arrive on December 25th. And apologies to those further east along the time zones.
And that being the case, I hope no one minds if I more or less repeat last years message as I think it still holds true.
Scans_daily does not ascribe to a singular festive tradition, as we have many community members who ascribe to different traditions, and many who actively reject any, for many and varied reasons, and we wish to be respectful to all. However, for the Northern Hemisphere "Halfway Out of the Dark" is more of a fixed event than most, so if we have to go with a name, let's go with that.
For some it can be a happy time of family get togethers, and for others it can be a time of excruciatingly difficult family get togethers, and for others still, it is a be time of loneliness and sadness.
But rest assured you are never alone, there are always people you can speak to if you need to, and remember that asking for help is never a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength and determination.
And we'll still be here, sharing scans and community, as best we know how, any time you need us.
We'll be having our review of the year later in the week, and our hopes for 2025 too.
But in the meantime, may you find peace and happiness where you wish to find it, whether through faith, friendship, camaraderie or just knowing you are NOT alone.

PS: Yes "Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl" was an utter delight! Those in parts of the world who didn't get to watch it on the BBC, do try to see it on Netflix, it is a perfect hour of Aardman Animation at the top of their game.

And even though there’s sometimes friction between us, thanks to the mod team for keeping things within boundaries.
