Imagine being young and still relativity unaware of how comics worked and this storyline shows up and holy shit the transformations and violence and brutal deaths.
And then it’s all undone. Phew.

I always wondered if Arilynn Williams, Adventure Archivist/Battle Librarian was a seed Claremont planted but never got back to because she was awfully random yet important and yet never mentioned again…

We've already got everyone brainwashed, Selene enslaving gals, tentacle arms, someone nearly being permanently transformed into something...
Ordinarily I'd suggest Kulan wasn't interested in Storm to avoid overdoing it, but apart from anything else, that might not actually be possible.
('sides, you'd need quite a few more before getting anywhere near that point.)

Nice try, Warlock, but alas, Doctor Strange has to go and ruin your moment.

There's something really... strange (not a pun, I swear) about how Stephen's undoing absolutely everything is done in the space of a single speech bubble.
"It's done!" Not even a separate panel or nothing.
From Claremont, it's so rushed. It's bizarre.

The epilogue is how it was done—Nimrod gets drawn to the exact place and time to thwart Kulan Gath's rebirth rather than whenever/wherever he actually intended to arrive. The knife-wielding mugger he zapped was the guy who was just about to grab the necklace off Jaime Rodriguez and become Gath's new host body.
