I continue to be delighted by just how wrong I was about Absolute DC. This could be grimdark -- SHE CUT OFF HER OWN ARRRRRRRM -- but there's a weight, and a kindness, and a sorrow to it that completely negates that. Also? Major superhero with a limb difference? Pretty cool!

Drawing Steve Trevor as the slenderest of pretty boys is a really interesting choice. Doesn't undermine him as a character, but it's an outstanding visual decision.

I swear I did not have "Absolute Wonder Woman as disability representation" on my bingo card.

But I am so in to see where this goes.
I appreciate that the Absolute DC titles -are- trying something new and different as opposed to "Batman but a vampire" and "Superman but Russian" and so forth. Radical yet recognizable reinvention.
