Could public opinion of mutants be getting better after X-Factor saved the city? This is the Marvel Universe, what do you think?

Well, I'm never not surprised that Marvel civilians will always be ungrateful. However, it's nice to know that there are some good civilians in that universe. The lieutenant was reasonable enough not arrest X-Factor. And sure, aside from that bigoted doctor who made Beast cry, everyone else was starting to treat X-factor like the heroes they are, once Trish Tilby had reported on X-Factor's victory over Apocalypse. There was even a sweet scene where a little girl gave Jean some flowers as gratitude for saving her grandma from a fire.

Sure the mutants will always be hated and feared as usual, but in this issue, the public opinion of mutants DID get better to a point where X-factor were treated like celebrities.
