Didn't much care for it.

Crappy internal logic.

The usual dumping on the people with the conscience, and rewarding the sociopathic.

I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next season which I think they are doing.

Overall, I enjoyed it. It's very James Gunn, if that makes sense. Dark humor, obscure characters, brutal things happening to everyone. Surprisingly sympathetic backstories for just about all the characters to contrast against their monstrous appearances and natures.

It's weird to think that this actually takes place in the canon DC cinematic universe as set to proceed under Gunn, but from all evidence he really does plan to play with a deep and extensive toybox.

I wasn't really a fan of Eric Frankenstein--portrayed too much as the comic relief/delusional and obsessed stalker type.

I really enjoyed the core team though I'm sad not everyone will be returning...

The proposed lineup for next season looks interesting, but I'm a little surprised we're not getting more of the actual, original Creature Commandos -- no werewolf, no vampire, no gorgon... (the original team did have a Frankenstein's monster type, so at least that's accurate. And I guess Weasel is the equivalent of a werewolf... at least Nina, as a merperson, is roughly equivalent to a Creature from the Black Lagoon to go with classic monster archetypes.)

I really liked the soundtrack. Very offbeat, and again jibes with the way Gunn incorporates music into his projects.

Ultimately, I enjoyed it. It was very James Gunn, for better or for worse. I like Gunn's work, so that was fine by me, but your mileage may vary.

I particularly enjoyed Dr. Phosphorous as a character. Alan Tudyk made him entertaining, of course, and I'd like to see more exploration about how much that's truly a persona versus who he's really become.

I found GI Robot to be rather flat, with little character beyond his monomania. I approve of his policy towards Nazis, though.

The Bride was fun, of course, though I was bothered that her romance with Ivpgbe Senaxrafgrva was presented as positive.

I want to be as happy as G.I. Robot when he's killing Nazis. There's a 'bot who loves his job. I suspect that was the point: he was programmed to do something specific, and lacked room for real growth, and was treated like a machine, passed around like property for decades. But we also saw his capacity for friendship--was that part of his programming, to recognize allies like Easy Company or the Creature Commandos, or did he develop genuine feelings? Is he the sort who can grow beyond his programming?

FWIW, the G.I. Robots of the comics were ambiguous on whether they were -just- machines or were capable of deeper complexity.

I swear, for a moment I tried to remember who "Ivpgbe Senaxrafgrva" was. :)

Here's a question though: how would he feel if there really were no more nazis to kill? Satisfied with a job well done or despairing for a lack of purpose?

I found that odd too, hopefully they explore it more in the second season and they make it clear that Doctor Frankenstein was a major creep. I'd play it in more with the comic and Doc Frank is still alive because of Melmoth's blood and is the main villain of the season.

And as much as I liked the evil stalker Eric Frankenstein I hope we get the good version from Seven Soldiers. I was thinking that Eric got his vocal chords from a twin brother so there's another Frankenstein's monster who sounds the same, but has none of the toxic tendancies
