After a fight, Peter decides (apropos of nothing) that Harry wasn't consciously becoming the Green Goblin, but was crashing out because of lab chemicals.



Peter, you've just dumped dangerous chemicals into the water supply. People are going to get cancer, Peter.

Harry's theft of toys obviously reflects the inadequacy - the childishness - he feels as the son of the awful Norman.

In an earlier issue Harry says "Green is my favorite color" which was likely an attempt at foreshadowing.

And then nothing bad happened to Harry, ever again, ever

And he got all the toys he ever wanted!

Just to be on the safe side.

Or turn into Green Goblins themselves! Though maybe somewhat less effectual ones due to dilution. Which should make them much easier for this version of Spidey (rivalling the newspaper-strip version in incompetence) to handle.
