So a bathtub full of blood is an effective remedy for - let me check my notes - "being stabbed through the heart and getting burned to a crispy smoking skeleton."

Ok sure why not.

I guess next issue answers whether or not ingesting vampire blood is enough to cure you of having your brains leaking out of your cracked skull?

How many actual human beings could those gallons and gallons of blood stolen from hospitals have saved?

At the very least, even a throw-away line like "blood that was near disposal date/in the disposal section" probably could alleviate some issues regarding that.

Though I suppose vampire fiction does bring up the question regarding ethics in these situations, especially depending on the rules of how vampires operate and all that.
