Hulk being able to read means that, at 100%, green people have the highest literacy rate in the Marvel Universe. And yet, how many novels are released with green protagonists? Hmm? HMM?

I think that's supposed to be Ed McMahon, of "The Tonight Show". And the woman next to him is Jane Pauley of "Today". So kind of a pun, they're basically inviting him onto their respective shows. The fellow in the next panel with the bushy moustache is film critic Gene Shalit (not sure who the woman next to him is).
