(Does it hurt or help Doom's argument that Krakoa showed they could resurrect non-Mutants, as they did with Captain America in Judgment Day or not? Or that he had dinner with Ororo on Mars, so he didn't seem too bothered about the whole terraforming at the time.)
Not surprisingly, Reed's secret advantage, given to him by Maria Hill... doesn't work properly. And given there's... oh, cripes, three more issues of this to go, thinking that the big reveal at the end of the issue will be met by a resounding shrug from Marvel's civilians. "Eh. No-one I know. Or care about."
It helps because it means that I some point, Xavier was like "Should I safeguard Stevie Hunter or maybe Sharon Friedlander? No, scratch that, they're not mutants. OK, so the order of the day: safeguard for the Von Strucker twins..."
One bit I liked about this issue is that Reed is on his back heel debating Doom because he doesn't have easy access to the emotional arguments, until he sees the suffering kids and finds his righteous rage and you remember, Oh, yeah, this man's a dad.
