Neat! When did this come out? How were the other stories in the book?

It came out June 25. The other stories are uniquely good and interesting fun reads, with different styles of artwork.

It's impressive that the Kryptonian elemental can keep faith in " great Rao " while having " the entire planet is my body " perceptions - there's no reason the latter should discourage the former, but it does seem like the kind of thing that'd fall by the wayside in the scope of being something on that scale.

If it's an elemental in the same vein as Swamp Thing it perhaps originated as a Kryptonian in some for or another, and some turns of phrase stuck.
