Tim taking things into his own hands and taking down the riddler was awesome cool to see. Although why didn't Tim called Dick, or any other superhero to help him?

My guess? Given Batman's increasingly stubborn determination to round up every escaped villain all by himself, and his stern "I don't need your help; back off!" warnings, Tim realized he was treading on thin ice already. Taking on this or that criminal on his own was one thing. Bringing in other heroes behind Bruce's back, Tim likely feared, might be the last straw for his mentor and might result in him kicking Tim to the curb in more senses than one.

Whether Bruce, even in his manic, obsessive and exhausted state at the time, would've actually done such a thing, is another matter. But I could see Tim fearing it was a possibility and therefore being very cautious in defying his boss, even for Batman's, and Gotham's, own good.

So were Riddler's riddles hinting at something? I noticed a theme there, but not sure if there was enough to connect.

Hmmm. So I assume what a ballplayer likes to be called at home is 'safe'. And what travels around the world but stays in its corner is a postage stamp. What letter is damp is, I think, 'C' (i.e. sea).

Not sure I'm seeing a pattern though.

Well, three involved letters of some kind, though I couldn't figure out if I was missing something there with the fourth.

My thought on "what letter is never found in the alphabet?" would be a postal letter, which would be two riddles about mail.

Moreover, I thought maybe the answers were a clue of some kind. Like a sea stamp in a safe...

It just feels like a number of connections there, with the home one being the potential outlier, and I was hoping there was an answer we didn't see here.

The trivia section for this comic, from the DC website. Mentions that all the riddles created by the Riddler are related to letters, mailing and the post office.
