On the one hand, " the government pardoned the proven, unrepentant criminal because he's useful " is a familiar observation by now.

On the other hand, it's no less true.

Because it wasn't like Norman was original when he did it either.

Kind of odd that MJ would continue to bulk up that much as "Spider-Man" but I guess it's easier for teenage Mattie to hide her gender than adult supermodel MJ.

Speaking of appearances, anyone else notice that the weird human teeth are increasingly replaced with fangs? Not, like, "full Brock" but it was pretty noticeable in issue nine.

Maybe the extra bulk serves as extra padding to protect the person inside? Sometimes it's strange imagining a person's skeleton inside the shape of the symbiotes, but presumably being skin-tight opens up more possibility of getting a bruise or two for the host inside.

I get why she bulks up (and hides the location of vital organs) as Venom.

...but if the goal is to impersonate Spider-Man then she really out to look like Spider-Man.

It's less of a straight impersonation as it is trolling Otto to lower public confidence in SCAR under his watch. Or at least, that's how I read it.

Yeah, I've since seen scans from the next issue and MJ and the bystanders seem to be having some fun at Otto's expense.

Abolish Space-ICE ...and regular ICE.

Eh...it's not the Ben Riley suit. I think two fingers on Ben's gloves were blue instead of red. Looks more like Venom just turned the spider symbol black.
