"Scott Adams, the conservative creator of the Dilbert comic strip, has died at the age of 68.

 

Earlier this year, Adams announced that he had been approved for the drug Pluvicto to treat metastasized prostate cancer. His death was confirmed on his Rumble video site.

"But they have dropped the ball in scheduling the brief IV to administer it, and I can't seem to fix that. I am declining fast," Adams wrote earlier this month. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Adams that President Donald Trump wanted to help overcome his difficulties with an insurance company."

He left, in the end, a... mixed legacy. I'll just leave it at that for now as he's only just passed.

I think "mixed legacy" is a very accurate summation.

As a member of the office culture he satirised back in ther 90's I enjoyed his characters and comedy a lot.

His personal politics and trajectory since then however, I find myself at utter odds with.

In the spirit of common humaity, I will say that cancer is not something I would wish on anyone.

I think it's only appropriate to wish cancer upon anyone who would go out of their way to suppress the treatment of cancer for others. So probably one or two people in the current administration, at least...

I confess I hadn't realised just how far down the Right Wing conspiracy rabbitholes he had gone until I saw a post on it that Gail Simone just shared. I'd just been comprehensively ignoring him for years.

Having lost more than one person I loved to cancer, it is not something I wish on anyone.

If you wish to, you are free to do so, but I would prefer it not be on scans_daily.

Apparently he was making digs about Biden's cancer while he knew he was going to die from his own. So... Well, I still extend my condolences to anyone he left behind.
