Edit - Also who designed those chainswords? The lower cyborg bits must be because all the users cut their legs off with the backwards part.

So...this Brainiac isn't very smart, is he? How does he not grasp how the multiverse works? People are different across dimensions. A villain in one can be a hero in another...or just be an ordinary guy.

Of course, but to be fair this Brainiac was originally just a worker drone who gradually went insane and became a sadist, so there were never many smarts there.

His initial plan to find out what a Kryptonian was just to start screaming at his bottled cities, and then start smashing them when they didn't know.

The Darkseidverse does seem to have this logic that influential characters are neutralised either by handicapping their development, or by making them so successful and contented that they never become who they were "meant" to be.

In this case, there is a certain logic to making the predominant Brainiac not very quick on the draw. Can't have him rising up and trying to usurp the big man in charge.

I went back and forth between the party scene on the penultimate scan and the last image because they just didn't feel like the same crowd. I'm not sure if it's the artist doing it on accident and I'm just being anal or if that's supposed to mean something but it just looks off to me.
