Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant #5
Jun. 6th, 2026 08:21 pm
The last issue of Murewa Ayodele Storm came out this week, having lasted a respectable twenty issues. It dies as it lived - utterly insane.
When our last issue ended, alternate universe Storm's mom had left her stranded on the other side of the Omniverse after short detours through Jujutsu Kaisen and Gachiakuta. Really. Storm goes to ask Eternity if she can get a ride back home. He has criticism to offer.

But how is Storm going to get home, then?

Oh.

Fin.

Date: 2026-06-07 09:35 am (UTC)Yes. You, the reader, go hunt down a copy of a nearly twenty-five year old comic which wasn't exactly brilliant when it was fresh and re-read through all of it to understand what's going on!
Eh. Let's not and just say we did.
So, Arakko is just filled with otherdimensional zombies now, apparently?
(also, what's up with the giant frogs on the cover?)

Eternity has a giant salamander that acts as his receptionist. Again, not making this up.

Date: 2026-06-07 06:09 pm (UTC)I was joking about it earlier with someone but they really made it official.
"Why would the FBI be harassing me, a perfectly innocent criminal? Surely it wasn't because I helped Xavier escape; that was a whole week ago, get over yourselves."
This is some Hal Jordan levels of "I'm not the problem, the universe is the problem"

Date: 2026-06-08 12:45 am (UTC)An utterly ridiculous ending to an absolutely bonkers story. The writer should have known better and the editor is a miserable failure.
The best we can hope for is this is never spoken of again.
