So, Oa is besieged by the Black Lanterns. They're destroying the power battery and have rotted is foundation, and it has fallen, with a great amount of damage. Oh, and the rings don't work now. Mogo shows up. What can Mogo do? Well, in defiance of the laws of physics, he can execute this secret order from the Guardians he only now informs Salaak of. While managing to not destroy Oa somehow in the process. Witness(a little less than 4 pages, one cropped from a double-pager, which is why it looks like 5)):

Johns doesn't even understand what "dark matter" is. He thinks it's Evil Matter, rather than simply matter that doesn't reflect energy nor give it off.

I got chills at the end of last issue when I flipped the page and big ol' Mogo decided to crash the party.

Also: it appears Mogo's not socializing was a Guardian lie. They wanted to keep it secret so that he COULD come to Oa and pull shit like this.

Well, that was kind of a joke. Mogo can casually destroy planets orbits and commit genocide through carelessness, so he's forced to be solitary.

However, current canon has him welcoming GLs for rest vacations and now training locations. Less older canon has him hosting Lobo's space dolphins. Oldest canon has him deliriously happy to meet Hal--to the point Mogo tried to 'hug' Hal with avalanches and tidal waves. Mostly because Mogo seems to be disabled..Gaiman implies planets and stars talk to each other, but Mogo claims he's never talked to another celestial body.

My three favorite Green Lanterns are, in order, Mogo, Dinosaur-Lantern, and Space Whale Lantern.

This is why Mogo's my top favorite ever. He's just neat. :D

...Gravity doesn't work like that. I am a physicist (getting my bachelor's degree in May), I know what Mogo just did breaks laws of physics (or at least was explained wrong and actually involved some sort of special psychokinetic energy, which, while not necessarily scientifically supported in this universe, at least doesn't directly go against how gravity works), and yet this scene is so cool I cannot bring myself to care. Woohoo!!!
