/currently reading Maskerade (though coincidentally trying to find his misplaced Bible to finish the last 20 odd pages. Revelation is 'sposed to be off-the-wall madness!)
The comic dates from 1974, which (as far as I know) is about when the strong force was being formulated in a version recognizable today. Presumably a fundie somewhere got truly aggravated by the whole idea, then propagated the concept of God holding atoms together through the fundie community.
I adore the discussion <a href="http://www.christianforums.com/t34785/>here</a> which has a bunch of scientifically inclined people making fun of an asinine starting comment, and swiftly heads into wonderful insanity like "leopards hold atoms together"...
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
