A note on the cover. While the story and Team had no connection to Monarch until much later the original plan of the story was for Nightwing to be leading his Team in a battle against Monarch until it was changed, thus the cover.



As per Armageddon 2001 Waverider's trying to fin he who will grow to be Monarch in the near future of 2001 and tries out Nightwing.



Nightwing despite his Captain America level awesomeness starts getting out numbered until his sidekick steps in to give a hand.









And so the dynamic duo destroy a mind numbing drug factory.      

The future Titans Team is on the run all the time and have creative ways of staying off the grid.





To give him a dark but not absolutely bad flaw Future Nightwing is constantly trying to find Lord Chaos so he can find his former team (the regular Teen Titans of the past/our present. Who is dead but he refuses to believe it.

The team via mysterious leader get  told of one of Chaos' base which has info the team needs and they go invade.



Lord Chaos is introduced and we see him talking to numerous big business types on their plans to control Earth and the Titan resistance.



And just to remind us, Dagon is indeed a vampire who loves having fun.



After the mission the leader using the data discovers that from all evidence the previous Titans have all died, killed by the Wildebeest society which was also later destroyed by Chaos and we then learn where Chaos himself is.




Using Mirage to infiltrate (her using her disguising powers) they come upon Chaos.



And thus we learn who Chaos is after the Team gets thrashed pretty quickly.



Yep, Chaos is the son of Donna Troy and Terry Long.



I'll go on record and say though the alien thing felt pretty out there, seemed tacked on in all truth. And yes, more reminder to the reader we don't know who the Titans leader is.



In true super villain stupidity Lord Chaos who could trounce the team easily vanishes and lets his goons attack the Team who escape rather easily.







And thus the team is set up to return to the past and kill Donna as we saw previously. And yes, that's what Waverider sensed, the team traveling back in time.


And for those who haven't looked it up the Titans Leader was originally planned to be Danny Chase with the annoying kid Titans fans hated having in the future become the leader of the resistance ala John Connor's in Terminator and would explain the leader being scientifically gifted enough to create the time machine.
