My thoughts exactly. I mean, they've got the colossal doucheyness down pat, but he's just not pretty enough. (Maybe it's a general problem with comic book characters named Apollo. A curse? They are cursed with never being as overwhelmingly gorgeous as they should be?)

The greek ideal was "runner" or "gymnast", not really "body-builder".

The style works for the norse gods, not so much for the greek ones.

I've seen statues for the other gods too. Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and Hercules would all be okay for steroid nightmares. Even that statue comes off as more 'young man-ish' than Inflato Man up there.

Gotta be Hyperion or Helios standing in for Apollo..unless he starts doing some poetry.

Well, intense light causes super heated air to rise, causing a vaccuum in the area where said air was, and you get the same sound when Jordan makes a 3 pointer from beyond the line... woosh.
