lego_jokerSo... the Joker. Annoying lout illogically inflated to a supervillain-level threat by a combination of Popularity Power and the DCU's overly permissive good-guys, right? Totally irredeemable murderous douchebag, right? Batman should just go ahead and kill him, right?
All entirely accurate statements, which I cannot and will not contest in regards to today's Joker. Buuuuut...

There was a magical time when the Joker had more to him than just mindless cruelty, godlike competence levels to facilitate said cruelty, and an entire line of cheerleaders harping on about how "dangerous" and "unpredictable" he is. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I refer to none other than that magical decade... the 90's!
