Connectivity issues at work mean this is going up earlier than usual, and shorter.
In the UN, teenager Greta Thunberg gave an impassioned speech, more impressive than most I've heard from people three or four times her age, taking the very people she was addressing to task for their failure to face the issues of climate change. I suspect there were some somewhat forced grins behind the applause she recieved, but good lord that young woman can orate like few others.
Meanwhile our somehow-actually-voted-into-positions-of-power leaders have been embarassing themsleves as per usual.
POTUS 45 may have casually asked the President of the Ukraine to dig out dirt on Joe Biden's family.
Recent targetting of certain Left-Wing US politicians seems to have been traced to a mere 200 suspect accounts.
Boris Johnson, has added some "minor" conflict of interest issues to his current list of problems.
And we finally get the result of the court case as to whether his suspension of Parialment was legal.

Whilst, just for fun, Russia might be banned from ALL international sporting events as doping scandals continue
Thomas Cook, a well known and long-established holiday firm in the UK went bust over the weekend, leaving 150,000 people stranded abroad until replacement flights could be sorted out, which is not going to be straightforward.
I literally had to go to a site called goodnewsnetwork.com for some positive stories (I'm not sure if that's a sign of determined optimism or ourtright desperation.
Satchel Smith, a 21 year old hotel worker, was praised for managing to look after 90 gusets for 36 hours during heavy flooding in Texas.. The world's longest game of I-Spy perhaps?
MIT has accidentally created a material which is apparently ten times blacker than anything created before, and have used it to coat a diamond as part of an art piece. Honestly, do you WANT Eclipso. people? Because this is how you get Eclipso!
