It has now been more than a week since the Snyder Cut of the Justice League came out on HBO streaming and seemingly by all metrics it has been a massive success for the service. The point of this post, though, isn't t about the Snyder Cut as a whole, I did already a separate discussion post about the film where I wrote at lenght of my love for it, but rather to focus on one single scene in the film. Something I don't think is a controversial statement is that while Snyder does have flaws as a filmmaker, he excels in visually capturing superpowers and managing to give scenes that sense of power. And for me the action sequences in the Snyder Cut really showcased with especially the final big fight being one of the best of such I've seen on screen.
However, with all that said, there is a single moment in that final sequence which is on the best greatest superpower scene I've ever seen, personal opinion of course, and I wanted to not just celebrate that particular scene, but also to share it with those who didn't want to spend four hours watching the Snyder Cut. Naturally the scene works better when looked as a part of a whole as it is a pretty neat culmination of Barry's arc, but I think it is still spectacular when seen in isolation. At least I hope so as I did not see it in isolation. Also while the YouTube clip below is in good quality, it's better from the streaming service and the scene in question starts from 3:17:10.
( Reminder what the Justice League is behind this cut )
